Dr. Al Fazir is an accomplished interventional cardiologist specializing in complex coronary and structural heart procedures. Following his medical education at the University of Manchester, he spent 11 years at the Institut Jantung Negara, where he gained extensive experience in complex coronary interventions, including Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO) and primary angioplasty.
He deepened his expertise with a year of research at the Washington Heart Centre, USA. Dr. Al Fazir is a key figure in CVSKL’s Structural Heart Programme, bringing his specialized skills in procedures like MitraClip and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI). He is also a frequent speaker and demonstrator at international cardiology events.
Dr. Alan Chan is currently the Consultant Cardiologist and Director of Catheterization Laboratory of Department of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
He was active in promoting Primary PCI program in his region and served as project manager of Stent Save a life, Hong Kong chapter.
He is currently also the council member and Vice-President of Hong Kong Society of Transcatheter Endo-cardiovascular Therapeutics. council member of Hong Kong College of Cardiology and broad member of Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Arun Kalyanasundaram is an internationally acclaimed interventional cardiologist and a leading authority on Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) interventions. His patient-first philosophy prioritizes performing the most appropriate procedure, not just the ones he is comfortable with. This approach has allowed him to train thousands of cardiologists in complex interventions across the globe.
A graduate of Madras Medical College, Dr. Kalyanasundaram completed his advanced training at leading U.S. institutions like the Cleveland Clinic. He has held numerous leadership roles, including Chief of Cardiology and Cath Lab Director at Highline Medical Centre. Currently, he is the Chief of Cardiology at Chennai’s Promed Hospital and an Honorary Director at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. He also founded the CHIP-CTO INDIA conference to teach other cardiologists how to handle high-risk, complex cases.
Dr. Khialani is an Interventional Cardiologist from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He trained in Melbourne, Australia at The Alfred, Geelong and Monash Hospitals, with a 2 year overseas Interventional Fellowship at Royal Papworth Hospital Cambridge, UK. Bharat is experienced in complex coronary PCI predominantly through the radial approach, coronary physiology, intracoronary imaging (IVUS/OCT), calcium modification (atherectomy/IVL) and mechanical support using Impella. He has recently published extensively in peer reviewed journals, particularly in the field of DCB angioplasty.
Dr. Dafsah Arifa Juzar, Sp.JP(K), PhD, is an interventional cardiologist and Cardiology Critical Care specialist at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita and faculty of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. He leads the Acute Cardiovascular Care Working Group of the Indonesian Heart Association and chairs Commission IV (Fellowship/Subspecialty Education & Certification) at the Indonesian Cardiology and Vascular Collegium. Trained in Indonesia with fellowships at Royal Perth Hospital (Australia), he is a fellow of SCAI, ESC, APSIC, and the ASEAN College of Cardiology. His daily practice focuses on complex high-risk indicated PCI (CHIP) and the multidisciplinary management of cardiogenic shock, including mechanical circulatory support. He has helped build STEMI networks, led multicenter registries, contributed to Indonesian ACS guidelines, and published on STEMI systems and ICCU hemodynamics—advancing cardiovascular care nationwide.
Dr. Dinesh Nair is Consultant Cardiologist and Director of Heart Matters Medical Centre in Singapore. He graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and trained in the UK and Germany, including an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology at HELIOS Heart Center, Siegburg.
With over 20 years of practice, his work focuses on complex coronary interventions, with publications in peer-reviewed cardiology journals. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (USA), and the Academy of Medicine Singapore. Dr. Nair actively contributes to clinical education, innovation in interventional cardiology, and professional leadership
Dr. Doni Firman, MD, PhD, FIHA, FAPSIC, FAsCC, FSCAI, is an Interventional Cardiologist at Harapan Kita National Cardiac Center and Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. He earned his MD from Andalas University, completed cardiology training at Universitas Indonesia, and obtained his PhD in 2017. Dr. Firman further trained in interventional cardiology at National Taiwan University Hospital and Asan Medical Center, Seoul.
A former Chairman of the Indonesian Society of Interventional Cardiology, he currently serves on the Board of the Asia Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology. His research focuses on interventional cardiology, atherosclerosis, and metabolic syndrome
Prof. Eric Eeckhout also served as the Honorary professor medical school Lausanne, Switzerland and the Founding editor of the EAPCI-PCR interventional cardiology textbook.
He also being the Co-director of several interventional cardiology meetings and as the Founder of the ECC congresses.
Dr. Frankie Tam graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2005. He received his training in Cardiology in Queen Mary Hospital Hong Kong and went to Harrington Heart and Vascular Institute, Cleveland, USA for overseas training in advanced interventional cardiology.
He is currently the Consultant in Queen Mary Hospital and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in University of Hong Kong. His special interest is in management of acute coronary syndrome, complex coronary intervention and structural heart disease intervention.
Dr. Hendrik Feller graduated from medical school at Charité Berlin in Germany in 2008. He holds board certifications in cardiology, emergency medicine, and intensive care medicine.
In 2018, he completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and CHIP. Since 2019, he has been a consultant interventional cardiologist and catheter lab manager at Klinikum Frankfurt Oder, where he is responsible for the CHIP program. Dr. Feller is particularly interested in ultra-low contrast and CTO PCI procedures.
Dr. Ka-Lung Chui graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003. He obtained his cardiology fellowship in 2010.
He underwent one year of advanced interventional cardiology training in the University hospital case medical centre in 2015.
He is currently the consultant in Prince of Wales hospital. His special interests is on complex PCI, intracoronary imaging and TAVI.
Dr. Jung-Min Ahn is an interventional cardiologist and an assistant professor of Medicine at the Asan Medical Center, Seoul. Dr. Ahn completed his PhD in 2012 from the University of Ulsan.Dr. Ahn is a well-known speaker at international forums and has had over 500 publications to his name. His primary clinical and research interests lie in coronary artery disease, especially CTO & Left main disease, Intravascular Imaging and Physiological Assessments. Dr. Takashi Kajiya, MD, FACC, FESC, is the Director of the Department of Cardiology and the Clinical Research Center at Tenyoukai Central Hospital in Japan, specializing in interventional cardiology.
He has extensive education and training from Japan, the U.S., and Singapore, and has published numerous research papers in the field of cardiology.
Dr. Kajiya is a member and fellow of various international cardiology societies, and participates as a faculty member and abstract reviewer at major conferences.
Kwan S. Lee is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with expertise in complex coronary artery disease and structural heart interventions.
He is a past governor of the American College of Cardiology Arizona chapter. His research interests include outcomes research, intracoronary imaging and simulation in cardiology education
Dr. Ho Lam is the Head of Cardiology Team, Tuen Mun Hospital. He is also the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong. He also serve as the editor of the Hong Kong Medical Journal.

Dr. Lim Ing Haan, MD, is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, specializing in complex coronary interventions, including left main, bifurcation, and calcified lesion treatment. Awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship, she trained in interventional cardiology at Duke University Medical Center, USA.
She pioneered several programs, including Singapore’s 24-hour acute myocardial infarction service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the Robotic PCI program at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. Dr. Lim serves on the editorial boards of SCAI’s journal and SMA News, and holds leadership roles in AP-SIC WIN, Singapore Cardiac Society, and the Academy of Medicine
Dr. Michael Nguyen. A/Prof Michael Nguyen completed his cardiology training in Melbourne, Australia and then undertook fellowship training in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre/Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.
He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia and has an academic appointment with the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine.
He specialises in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and complex coronary and structural interventions (left atrial appendage occlusion, ASD/PFO closure), and is widely recognised as a clinical leader in these fields across the Asia-Pacific region.
His academic contributions extend to research, where he has served as Head of Clinical Trials in the Department of Cardiology, overseeing numerous groundbreaking studies”
Dr. Myeong-Ki Hong, MD, PhD is Professor of Medicine at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea, and a Member of the National Academy of Medicine of Korea. His specialty is coronary intervention, invasive intracoronary imaging, and TAVI.
He has led landmark clinical trials including RESET, IVUS-XPL, DETECT OCT, One-Month DAPT, RACING, LODESTAR, and T-PASS, with over 570 SCI publications and multiple articles in JAMA, Lancet, and Circulation.
Dr. Hong has served as Course Director for TCTAP, AP Valves, Complex PCI, and ENCORE Seoul, and is current Chairman of the Korean Society of Interventional Cardiology, contributing extensively to research, education, and clinical innovation
Dr. Rajinikanth Rajagopal is an Interventional Cardiologist, with specific interests in OCT, intracoronary physiology, calcified lesions and the use of drug coated balloons. He also performs peripheral intervention, renal denervation and interventions for pulmonary embolism.
He runs an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program and a Research department. He received his medical degree from JIPMER in Pondicherry, India. He then trained and worked in the UK for 15 years.
Outside work, his interests include fusion music and travel.

Datuk Dr. Rosli Mohd Ali is a leading cardiologist in Malaysia with over 30 years of experience, specializing in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He has held several key leadership positions at the National Heart Institute of Malaysia and is currently a consultant at Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur.
Dr. Rosli is also involved in international education and research, serving as a course director and instructor for global medical training and conferences.
Dr. Rustem Dautov, MD, PhD, FRACP, is Head of the Complex PCI/CTO/CHIP Program and Clinical Director of the Cath Lab at The Prince Charles Hospital, Australia. He trained extensively in chronic total occlusion interventions at Laval and McGill Universities under Dr. Stéphane Rinfret and completed his PhD at the University of Adelaide.
An internationally recognized faculty member and live case operator, he has presented and proctored at leading cardiology meetings worldwide. Dr. Dautov has authored over 30 publications, contributed book chapters, and received awards for complex PCI and CTO cases, advancing interventional cardiology globally.
Dr. Sandeep Basavarajaiah, MBBS, MRCP (UK), MD (UK), FESC, is Consultant Cardiologist at University Hospitals Birmingham. Trained in India, the UK, and Italy, he sub-specializes in coronary intervention with expertise in complex PCI and CTO-PCI, having performed over 4000 procedures. His MD research at King’s College London focused on ethnic differences in cardiovascular adaptation in athletes, leading to highly cited publications in JACC and Eur Heart J.
He is the research lead for his trust, chief investigator for national registries on drug-coated balloons, and author of multiple first-author papers on coronary intervention. Since 2022, he has been a member of the European CTO Club, contributing actively to education, research, and proctoring worldwide
Prof. Scott Harding is a distinguished interventional cardiologist and a recognized expert in treating complex coronary disease, particularly chronic total coronary occlusions (CTOs). Having performed over 1,000 CTO interventions, he is a master of advanced techniques and a sought-after international lecturer and proctor. His expertise also extends to intravascular imaging and the management of severely calcified lesions.
Prof. Harding serves as the Director of the Cardiology Research Group and an Interventional Cardiologist at Wellington Hospital. He holds an Adjunct Professor position at Victoria University and is a past chairman of the New Zealand Interventional Group. With a strong research background, he has published over 100 papers on topics including intravascular imaging and platelet biology.

Prof. Tan Huay Cheem is presently the Senior Advisor of National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS), Senior Consultant Cardiologist at NUHCS, and Professor of Medicine with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Prof. Tan is an active clinical researcher who has initated several multicentre, multinational randomised clinical trials, and more than 220 publications in local and international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Takuma Tsuda, MD, PhD, is Director of Cardiology at Nagoya Ekisaikai Hospital, Japan. He earned his MD at Mie University and PhD in Cardiology at Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine. Wei-Chun Huang, MD, PhD, FESC, FACC, FHQS Professor Wei-Chun Huang is deputy superintendent in Pingtung Christian Hospital, honorary president of Taiwan Myocardial Infarction Society in Taiwan and President of International Society of Hemodynamic. Dr Huang received PhD degree in University of Bristol, UK and MD degree in National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan. Dr Huang is a professor in National Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Huang authored or co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and invited as faculty in more than 22 national and international conferences. He is both Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FESC). He was elected as champion of Taiwan in Stent Save a Life international AMI organization in 2019 and Champion of Asia-Pacific in same organization since 2024. He received more than 605 international and national research and quality control awards, including golden national medical quality award and international Hospital Federation grand award golden winner.
Dr. Wirash Kehasukcharoen is a highly experienced Interventional Cardiologist based in Thailand with over 34 years of practice. He graduated with an MD from Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University in 1987. Dr. Kehasukcharoen specializes in coronary intervention, with extensive expertise in procedures such as coronary angiography and PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention). Prof. Yeo Khung Keong is Chief Executive Officer and Senior Consultant in Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. He holds an MBBS from Singapore and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
He also serves as Academic Chair of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Cardiovascular Sciences Programme, leading initiatives in innovation and data. Prof Yeo’s expertise lies in transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve interventions and the treatment of calcific coronary artery disease
Prof. Yongcheol Kim, a consultant cardiologist at Yongin Severance Hospital and an academic associate professor at Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, has a strong background in international research. From 2015 to 2017, he was a research fellow at the Bristol Heart Institute in the UK, where he specialized in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), an advanced form of intravascular imaging. During this time, he was mentored by Professor Andreas Baumbach and Dr. Thomas W. Johnson. Professor Kim’s current research interests revolve around intravascular imaging (OCT and Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)), distal radial access (DRA), and acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
